Our luxury narrowboats are available for short breaks or longer holidays, starting on a variety of days.
From March to October you can cruise the canal, and from November to March you can enjoy a houseboat holiday on two of our boats permanently moored at Llangattock (while the canal is closed to navigation so that the Canal & River Trust can undertake planned maintenance).
We also have canalside cottages at Llanfoist, near Abergavenny, just six miles downstream from our wharf at Llangattock.
For the best of both worlds, book a two-centre
holiday that combines time on a narrow boat with a stay in one of our cottages.
Short breaksOur two canalside cottages and some of our boats are available for short breaks. Ideal if you don’t have time to fit in a long holiday or just want to see if you enjoy boating. Choose from a long weekend (3-nights starting on a Friday) or a midweek break (4-nights starting on a Monday).
A week or moreThe Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal will easily occupy you for a week, whether you’re cruising on a boat or staying in one of our cottages. For even better value, take a holiday lasting 11 or 14 nights. The price of 11 nights is the weekly hire charge plus 50% of the following week’s charge. And if you book for two consecutive weeks, you’ll get a 10% discount on the second week.
Start on Monday, Friday or SaturdayYou can start your holiday on Monday, Friday or Saturday. Both our canal boats and cottages are available from 14:30 on your arrival day, and we ask you to vacate by 09.30 on your departure day, with boats back at Llangattock by 09.00. Check availability now.
No hidden extras
Our prices are totally inclusive. Unlike many boat hire companies, we don’t charge extra for pets, bed linen and towels, boat insurance, fuel for the boat, gas for the cooker, logs for the stove or for parking your vehicle in our car park. We even provide a pack of essentials including cleaning materials, dishcloths, tea towels and toilet rolls. For the fine print, please read our Conditions of Hire.
