About us

We work hard and play hard, too, indulging our passion for being on the water whenever we can. We can sometimes be seen out on the canal in our steam boat Bramble, an ex-Naval Pinnace with a fabulously geeky 2-crank double tandem compound engine built in 1886. Each year we travel the entire canal from Cwmbran to Brecon reviewing the canal as we go and reporting any concerns to the Canal & River Trust.
We have sailed in many parts of the world, including a recent family holiday from Greece to the UK in a Jeaneau 40. Sometimes we sail on Llangorse Lake in the Brecon Beacons - Alasdair and Sarah in a Flying 15 and Megan in her Lark. We are also keen rowers, and row regularly with our friends at Monmouth Rowing Club.
