Wonderful first-time boating experience. We've recently completed a 7 day trip with the Osprey and we had a wonderful time. This being our first time experience with a narrowboat, we were initially a bit surprised how compact everything was inside the 60ft boat, but we quickly got used to it. Everyone from our group of 5 found their own little corner to keep their stuff in, and it became our home for the next week. All along the interior, there are many little details and features designed to make your stay comfortable. We especially loved the semi-covered area at the bow, which we used for eating and never even assembled the actual dining table inside. Judging by the other ships we passed, such a practical bow area is not common either. Speaking of other boats, we were pleasantly surprised by the low traffic on the canal. We planned our trip for the end of July and feared it would be packed, and we would need to carefully pass boats all the time and queue for locks, but it wasn't the case. We got to Brecon on the 4th day, easily moored right in the marina/basin, and headed back the next day. Each day we had plenty of time to moor and enjoy other activities. Overall, this was a very enjoyable week-long adventure that we can wholeheartedly recommend.
