Our three luxury detached cottages are situated alongside the Monmouthshire & Brecon canal at the extremely picturesque Llanfoist Wharf. It's just outside the historic market town of Abergavenny in the Brecon Beacons. The cottages are available all year round and can be combined with time cruising the canal on our 5-star narrowboats (available March to October).
Dry Dock Cottage - sleeps 2 in one bedroom (due to open spring 2017)
Incline Cottage - sleeps 2 in one bedroom
Wharfinger's Cottage - sleeps 6 in three bedrooms
In each cottage you’ll find all the creature comforts you could want, an interesting mix of contemporary and antique furniture, vibrant soft furnishings such as Sanderson tartans and Vanessa Arbuthnot’s handprinted designs, all set against the backdrop of Farrow and Ball colours. Come in the height of the season and watch the canal spring into life each day or escape here after the boats have stopped and see a different side to the beautiful Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal.
Originally a hive of industry during the Industrial Revolution, Llanfoist Wharf is now a tranquil spot nestled amongst 30 acres of broadleaf woodland on the side of the Blorenge mountain, located in both the Brecon Beacons National Park and Blaenavon World Heritage Site. Alasdair and Sarah Kirkpatrick, owners of Beacon Park Boats based at nearby Llangattock, live in the adjacent 19th century warehouse.Wharfinger's Cottage
