When planning the transformation of our former Dry Dock, our aim was to create an amazing holiday cottage for a couple. We like to provide experiences which we ourselves enjoy on holiday, and we’re always on the lookout for those additional features that will delight our customers. So inside this rather humble-looking building, you'll find designer fabrics, handmade furniture and specially-selected artwork. It's the high standard of finishes which our customers have come to expect.
But Dry Dock Cottage has something extra - a home automation
system. The very helpful team at Hinchly’s in Cardiff helped us with the planning and installation. The Control 4 system uses the latest technology to control
the heating, lighting, blinds, audio system and home cinema – all from a
dedicated tablet which you’ll find in the cottage when you arrive. It couldn’t
From the sumptuous kingsize bed, you can open the blinds to reveal the glorious scene across the canal towards the mountains.
While relaxing in the comfy armchairs, you can turn the heating up or down.
When reclining on the leather sofa in the cinema snug, you can control every aspect of the lighting, sound and movie from the tablet.
There’s a series of pre-set lighting combinations, which alter the mood in the cottage.
When you’re cooking, select the ‘cooking’ themed lighting and the bright lights turn on in the kitchen area. On the other hand, when you’re relaxing in the luxury freestanding bath or sitting by the wood burner in the evening, there are other themes which will provide suitable mood lighting.
