We are delighted to let you know that, following the latest Government guidance, our narrowboats and cottages are available for holidays from Monday 13th July, and we are so excited to welcome you back. We have taken great care to put into place appropriate systems, and have achieved the 'Good to Go' Industry Standard mark. This means that we have followed government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, and have put a risk assessment in place, and a process to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing. Here's what you can expect:
Post-lockdown, you'll be looking for plenty of outdoor space and fresh air, both of which are easy to find in the Brecon Beacons...along with stunning natural beauty!
We know our guests love to eat out, shop locally and visit local attractions. We'll make sure that your narrowboat/cottage has the latest information about what's open along the canal and in the local area.
Your narrowboat/cottage will be thoroughly cleaned and then sanitised from top to bottom ready for your arrival. We will be cleaning surfaces in and around our boathouse regularly, and will provide hand sanitiser for you to use.
We'll be asking you to stay a safe distance from our staff and other customers, and to follow instructions from our team members in line with the most recent Government guidelines.
We have produced a video for each specific narrowboat, describing how everything works inside your boat - which we would usually show you up close. You'll watch this video onboard your boat on arrival. A member of our team will explain how to operate the boat, and will stand on the rear deck (in appropriate protective clothing) as you take a practice cruise.
The tranquil location of our three canalside cottages makes it easy for guests to enjoy a holiday away from crowds. Your cottage will be ready for you at the specified time, having been thoroughly cleaned and sanitised.
Take a look at what holidays are available, and plan your post-lockdown getaway!
