Entire fleet of narrowboats graded 5-star…again

Following our annual inspection by the British Marine Federation (BMF), we’re thrilled to announce that all fifteen boats in our fleet are graded 5 star. This is the fifth year that our entire fleet has been graded as 5 star and the second year that our boats have achieved scores of 100%.
We
are also recognised as a Quality Accredited Boatyard (QAB): This part of
the grading scheme looks at the systems and procedures that operators carry
out in running a hire boat or fleet of boats, including an audit of the
handover that is provided to customers hiring a boat. The QAB accreditation
offers reassurances of safe and legal practices together with good customer
services.
The
British Marine Federation assessor’s report is a delight to read:
“Beacon Park Boats moved into their new purpose built hire base at the start of this season. It has led to improvements with regard to the turnaround servicing of the hire fleet. It is very difficult to find any fault with either the fit out of the boats or how they are presented which is why they achieve 100% scores.
“All of the boats were immaculately presented. They were all spotlessly clean and there was no damage to any floor coverings. Externally it is very difficult to date the boats as all paintwork is in good order. The team at Beacon Park Boats takes great pride in their fleet. They try and keep the paintwork in top order touching up any scratches during turn around days when the weather permits.
“The
fleets of boats are all bespoke and individual in design and are all fitted out
to an impressive standard. The fixtures and fittings are all top quality. The
linen and bedding are of very high quality and there are nice added touches to
the toiletries such as cotton wool buds and pads. The company has two new boats
in build for next season and is following a successful formula of using
customer’s comments to help influence the design of the new craft.”
Take a look at some of the narrowboats which so impressed the BMF assessor.....
Grouse - amazing
kitchen and open-plan living area with dining table and chairs
Buzzard - 5ft by 6ft
6in double bed, mood lighting and surround sound system in the lounge
Eagle - two bedrooms
and two shower rooms so there's no queue in the morning
Merlin - one of our longest boats, with conservatory
on the front deck.
Can’t
rest on our laurels any longer though, better get back to building Wren and Kingfisher which we’ll be
launching in 2017.
