As a luxury holiday provider and a dog-lover, we face a dilemma. In our marketing we want to portray the high quality of our cottages and narrowboats AND we want to encourage visitors who wish to bring their dogs on holiday with them. That's great for dog-lovers because it can be difficult for people to find 5-star holiday accommodation that will accept their dogs.
However, some people (including dog owners) think that accommodation can't be completely spick and span if a dog has stayed there. Well, we believe luxurious surroundings are suitable for well-behaved dogs, and we work hard to ensure that you'd never know a dog had stayed there before you. Our team of fastidious cleaners makes sure of that! We even provide a towel especially for your dog so you can wipe its muddy paws.
We accept dogs on all our boats and in both Incline Cottage and Wharfinger's Cottage, so there's plenty of choice. However, the oak flooring in Dry Dock Cottage is not suitable for dogs so that property is for couples alone. Unlike many competitors, we do not charge a fee for you to bring man's best friend with you. Check out our FAQs for answers to other questions which may help you plan your dog-friendly holiday.
Read what others say about holidaying in our cottages or on our narrowboats. There are many mentions of how much dogs enjoyed their holidays, and plenty of compliments about the cleanliness and high quality of furnishings. The best of both worlds for all you dog-lovers.
