Book lovers head to Crickhowell Literature Festival

We are delighted to be one of the sponsors of this year's Crickhowell Literature Festival (28 September - 6 October) which caters for book lovers and all reading tastes. At venues across the town, you'll find talks by authors and informative workshops to feed your reading habit. It's a packed programme of events. If you're a writer as well as a reader, there are ‘Book Pitch Surgery’ sessions where you can discuss your work with publishing professionals.

Events which have grabbed our attention include Keeping Faith: Women on Screen and in TV on 28 September. Creator of BBC TV's Keeping Faith, Matthew Hall, is in conversation with Hannah Daniel who plays Cerys, and Catherine Ayers who plays Lisa. The panel is chaired by crime novelist, Matt Johnson.

On 3 October, historian Alison Weir, who has sold over 2.7 million books worldwide, presents the latest in her gripping wives of Henry VIII series, Anna of Kleve: Queen of Secrets.

Also fascinating will be an exploration of Margaret Atwood’s The Testament on October 4. Avril Horner, Emeritus Professor of English at the University of Kingston, considers this gripping new novel - the sequel to The Handmaid’s Tale.

With events selling out, it's wise to book your tickets now. See you there!
